Blood Run EVS are pleased to announce they have entered into a revolutionary collaboration with mylearnadfriend Ltd which will see a £10 donation made to the charity every time one of their supporters registers a member of staff on a mylernadfriend health and safety training course.
Blood Run EVS was setup in 2010 to bring an emergency blood motorcycle service to Cleveland to ease the financial burden on the NHS. The charity has been providing a free emergency motorcycle service to transport urgent and non-urgent medical items on behalf of the major hospitals in our region including North Tees and Hartlepool University Trust, James Cook University Hospital and The National Blood Centre in Newcastle.
The Bloodrun team has grown steadily to 40 riders who responded to 316 callouts during 2013. The riders are passionate about the charity and set high standards for themselves in all aspects of conducting their duties. They are determined and never become complacent and are always looking for innovative ways to improve and expand on their training programme. By ensuring consistent delivery of training across all their riders they are able to promote and develop safe working practices and maintain and improve the professional standard they set for the delivery of their service.
Mylearnadfriend have developed the “Safe Worker” suite of on-line health and safety courses which have been developed to meet the HSE requirements for basic training and cover the essentials of health and safety.
They have been designed to support Directors/Executives, Managers, Supervisors and Workers across all skill sectors and integrate 360 degree panorama photography with the latest software to recreate working environments on-screen which enables employees to identify hazards within the workplace and assess the risks in complete safety.
The courses are available on-line 24/7 and access is provided via the mylearnadfriend e-learning platform.
The Safe Worker product provides businesses with the legal minimum requirements and will generate awareness of health and safety risks within the workplace. A fully managed system retains the training records, tracks learner progress from registration through to certification and can be used to demonstrate HSE compliance.
The courses are designed to be cost effective and simplify the delivery of health and safety training with minimal disruption to busy work schedules.
These unique training solutions are on-line interactive training systems containing immersive content and integrated health and safety products which keep delegates informed of the latest innovations and developments.
Tony Abbott, MD mylearnadfriend said “We want to support charities where we can and when the idea to share the revenue from the sales of our courses with the Blood Run EVS was put to me by Rob Adams, Chairman, Blood Run EVS and MD Itchyrobot I was only too happy to oblige.
Rob added “By purchasing their safety training through the link on our website, our supporters can improve safety performance in their workplaces and simultaneously support the charity.
With rider’s family commitments and different working patterns it is not always possible to get everyone together for a classroom training course. The mylearnadfriend platform has offered us a unique opportunity to deliver consistent, high quality learning materials with comprehensive tracking and progress reporting to all our riders covering the key concepts of working safely. ”
